My Mother Said

My Mother Said . . .

Girls should cover up and not show their face
So I covered it in makeup to hide my disgrace

But as I got older all the boys stood in queues
Holding their hands outs to - marry me in - lou

So I married this nice guy and his name was Jack
His mates said - "I bet she'll be great in the sack"

As the wedding day progressed - we left the fray
Then I hit bathroom to rid my makeup of the day

But as I entered the bedroom oh what a bummer
My husband cried - OMG I just married a stunner !

Mind - My mother also said - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder . . . : )
