His Season is Now

I look daily for beauty in this world, beauty that I can transpose into words on a sheet of paper or a computer screen, beauty that rarely eludes me. From these observations spring beautiful, joyful, uplifting poetry that lifts others, and enables the best in me. Today is one of those elusive days. I still am forced to watch as my father fights on in a battle he cannot win. Alzheimer’s -- and all around him lies the collateral damage of family and friends who ache for him to pass on. And so, today, I write not just another Haiku, but one I pray that God will heed!

Seasons come and go
The season for death is now
His seasons are past
