Dindaloo

she runs in the room and yanks out an old ratty blanket
"Dindaloo Dindaloo" she babbles wearing a pink lil' barette
I know very well you need two people to clutch so I pause
"Ma, ma, ma" her eyes plead, she's thinks I'm Santaclaus!
When I was young it was me and my siblings and a pet
"Dindaloo Dindalloo" she's in a whirl like a happy majorette
she parks her diapered bum on the blanket then waits,
"Dinaloo Dindaloo" while I drag her around it gets late
"Time for supper" I say to my little three year old buckaroo
but it doesn't fudge, she's still hopping like a wild kangaroo
"Dinaloo Dindaloo" she babbles while clutching the old blanket
Her eyes are glazed in happy regardless of her diapered wet !

Writers Note: when we were kids we used to push each other around
in an old blanket. Two people would hold the blanket on either end
building a hammock, while the third one would sit in it. Just an old time
memory. Hope you enjoyed it .
