Broken bottle - Far from home

lost grip
broken bottle
no more to swallow

The bottle fell behind the bar
losing the liquor to be lapped up
mixing the mead into my memory

Crimes caused by a twist of the top
the lights contract the engines
giving rise to the fuel inside

I never tried to stop it
I surely did enjoy it
the bottle holds my spirit

Cursed and battered wives sit silent
beneath the waves of whiskey
stillness arrests their sentiments

Hate rage riots filled the broken bottle
now empty and faded and faking fast
emotions find the past in destruction

Always alone
to lose the guilty tone
I migrate far from home
